About Us
A Story of Heritage
The journey of this small family owned business began with my father learning Jade carving back in the 1970’s. He learned how to carve raw Jade into beautiful creations, which eventually led to my family getting a store on Canton Road, one of the most famous jewellery districts in Hong Kong. Countless generations of Jade and jewellery sellers have flourished there.
My father continued to master his craft, and he has since gone on to teach and mentor others, who have also become highly skilled Jade craftsmen. As of today, my parents have been working in the jade business for more than 50 years.
When creating our products, the raw Jadeite is first sourced directly from Myanmar (Burma) during my parents’ travels. Then, the manufacturing and carving of finished Jadeite pieces is done in Hong Kong by small family-owned operations. Throughout the process, we ensure that our products are crafted meticulously using the highest quality Jadeite possible.
The retail side of our family-owned Jade business has now expanded across the ocean to Toronto, Canada, where my children have joined me in continuing our family legacy as third-generation members of the business. Jade holds significant cultural value as heirloom jewellery in many Asian families, where it is passed down generation after generation. The stories of how the Jade came to be in the family and the symbolism behind certain pendant designs are also taught to the next generations. Witnessing my children join me on this journey is a testament to our commitment to honouring the profound history and significance of Jade in our family.
